Christmas Tree Decorating and Playing Around

Woo hoo!!  We're finally in mid-December (and it's the end of February).  I'm working on it but *phew*, going through those vacation pictures (about 600 of them) really tired me out.
The month of December was a big month, specifically for William, because at 13 months old, he had a HUGE boom in progress!!  At 13 months old, William started to walk, got two more teeth (for a total of 10 teeth), and started using baby sign language!  We were so excited to see him make such great progress all at once.  His language regressed for about a month, but he was able to communicate through baby sign, so it wasn't too bad.
After we got back from our vacation, we felt like Oscar deserved a belated Hanukkah gift.  He received an extra large Bobo toy (his favorite, since he's a picky dog toy recipient and only likes one type of dog toy...he just ignores the rest)!
Here's Oscar, playing around with his extra large Bobo.
He loved it, but there were "Bobo puffs" (the stuffing) ALL over the house.
What a mess!  But it was worth it.
The weekend after we got back, we put the boys down for a nap, and I took a nap myself.  While the boys and I were napping, Joseph picked up a Christmas tree and a wreath for our front door.  We wanted to surprise Alex and William after they got up from their naps.
Alex was so happy to see a Christmas tree in our living room!
Our happy boy. :)
Alex wanted to get straight to work on decorating the tree.
He got much better this year about dispersing the decorations rather
than putting them all in one location of the tree.  :)
Joseph and Alex, decorating the tree while William was napping.
It's the rule of the house that Daddy puts the
angel on the top of the tree.
My father started this tradition and we're continuing it.  :)
There he goes!

Christmas tree, 2013.
Each year, Oscar makes a little "home" under
our Christmas tree.  When he was younger,
he would sometimes take a nap underneath it.
This year, he just hung out underneath it once or twice.
(At least he doesn't "mark" the tree like he did when he was younger!)

Here's some pictures and videos of the boys, playing around the house.

while William was busying himself with other things.
William was busy playing with Legos.

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse show.

Our little man finally started to sprout some hair up top!

Woo hoo!  Here's our big boy at 13 months old, walking
in school!
Alex was invited to a "Super Hero" themed birthday party at a local gym.  We got him a "Superman" shirt that even had a detachable cape.  He was so excited and really had a great time with our neighbor's son.
Alex drew a picture of himself, with his
friend that has red hair, and Joseph.
I was pretty impressed with his drawing!
Alex, playing a game on a parachute.
I love this picture because he looks like
a little superhero getting ready to fly. :)

Alex, the super hero, in action!

There he goes!
Poor William got "pre-pneumonia" towards the end of December and had to be put on a nebulizer, three times a day, for a week.  Lemme tell ya, trying to hold a nebulizer on a 13 month old was not so easy.  The first few times, he totally flipped out and screamed for a while; however, he finally got used to it calmed down.  We sweetened the deal and let him watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse to settle him down.  Plus, one session was about as long as a show.  Perfect :)
Our poor little guy with his nebulizer.
HA!!!!!
Alex and William were playing in Alex's room
before nap time and Alex hurt his finger.  Alex
walked up to me and said, "Mommy!  Can you kiss
my finger?"  He held his finger up, like so (look above),
and I just about died laughing.  I had to capture this moment.  :)
Love this guy!
Our little William Billiam got better at it :)
I was putting away our coats, and turned
around to see the boys holding hands together.
How sweet!
Our only shovel broke after the first snow, so we ordered 3 shovels
to be shipped to our house in 2 days.  Gotta love Amazon prime!
What's more entertaining than a house full of toys?  Ah yes, boxes!
The boys had a blast with the boxes and wrapping.

Woo hoo!  Our boys were finally feeling better and we had just gotten one of our first big snows.

William and Alex, all bundled up and ready to play in the snow!
Gotta love our little Boilermakers!

William's first taste of playing in the snow.  Alex loved it, too!
William loved just lounging in the snow.  What a funny guy!

William, playing some more.

The boys love banging on the piano.
It's so sweet when the boys play together nicely.
The boys were being extra playful/naughty this evening.
Our two beautiful boys.  :)
They love seeing themselves on my camera phone.
William thinks it's hilarious!
William, bringing Oscar his rawhide chew.
They love each other.  :)
I love the holidays and enjoy continuing our family traditions each year.  It's so much fun to see the excitement that the boys get out of doing all of these fun things like decorating the house and the tree.  The house really does feel warmer, even though it's cold outside, during that time of year.
Until next time...

Love and kisses,
Nikki
