On October 31, we celebrated William's 3rd birthday a bit early because Joseph had the weekend off and he could join in the celebration. William has a very large class in school this year (divided into two groups) and had 24 friends to invite (which was the limit for the room that we were using). So, sadly, we were only able to invite his classmates and not include our other friends to the party as well. We had a great time jumping around and wished that we could have included everybody.

Joseph, Me, Alex, and William ready to celebrate! The boys were
dressed up in their Halloween costumes because William's party was
on Halloween. They loved being able to wear their costumes and
jump around on trampolines all morning. |
My mom was here helping us out and was able to
come to the party and celebrate with us.
(Penelope was sleeping in her car seat at this time.) |
William's awesome Spider Man birthday cake that Kristen and Pete
got for him for his birthday. Thanks Kristen and Pete! William loved
it and it tasted delicious. |
Now it's time to jump around!
| Alex the Storm Trooper, jumping around. |
| Our little ninja William had a blast. |
Fun times at William's birthday party
After all of that fun jumping around, it's time to eat!
The kids enjoyed pizza, fruit, vegetables, cake, and ice cream. A well-earned treat after all of that jumping. |
Time to eat!
| Our happy birthday boy, ready to blow out his birthday candles. |
| He's such a goofball. :-p |
Singing "Happy Birthday!" to our big 3 year old!
| The brothers were ready to dig into the cake. |
| The chocolate, buttercream, marzipan cake was a big hit. |
| The parents and children had a wonderful time at the party. |
| Joseph, Me, and William, happily celebrating. |
He was such a happy boy. It was so great to see this smile on his face as he played around with his friends from school. |
| Our goofy boys loved their chocolate ice cream. |
Jump around!
| Our darling Penelope wearing her Halloween outfit. |
| Our sassy little princess. |
After a nice nap, William got to open his birthday presents from his friends.
Joseph (a.k.a. Chewbacca) held Penelope while William (and Oscar) opened the gifts. |
William loooooooved his "Cars" hat, thermos, and backpack. He really wanted a backpack because his big brother Alex has a backpack. William quickly filled it with a bunch of random things and carried his backpack around for the rest of the day. He was very proud. Lol! Thanks for making this big boy very happy, Grandpa and Mama B!! :-)
On their next visit, William's Nono and Nai Nai (Elias and Linda) got William the matching lunchbox, because Alex had a matching backpack and lunchbox, so William wanted one as well. Thanks Nono and Nai Nai!! :-) |
| Penelope in the Mamaroo during Halloween dinner. |
After a day of partying, we quickly ate dinner and went trick-or-treating. Mom sat with Penelope at home and helped to give out candy while Joseph and I took turns taking the boys out. It was so great that Alex's friend Oscar and his family were able to join us in trick-or-treating.
Thanks so much for snuggling with Miss P, Mama B! We appreciated your help! :-)
Joseph dressed up as Chewbacca, Oscar was Darth Vader, I wore a witch hat, Penelope was a Halloween ballerina, William was a ninja, and Alex was a Storm Trooper. The kiddos loved wearing their costumes all day long. |
Oscar dressed up as a ninja and his darling sister Beatrice dressed up as Elsa from Frozen. The kids had such a blast running around the neighborhood together. |
| There they go! |
| Mom snuggling with Penelope that evening. |
I can't believe our big boy William, whom we still lovingly refer to as "Weewum" is already three years old! Where has the time gone? We love our feisty, thoughtful, cheeky, and tough yet sensitive little man so much and it is our pleasure that we get to have him in our family. It's been so much fun seeing him blossom into this big boy that he is today.
Until next time...
Love and kisses,
Nikki
